The story of South LA is consistently being told. High unemployment, rising housing costs and little to no good job opportunities is how the current chapter reads. Once an area with a strong industrial area that provided many middle-class jobs for its residents, South LA is now has mostly part-time and minimum wage jobs that don’t support dreams of home ownership nor the high quality of life we want for ourselves and our children.

It’s up to us to write the story that we’d want to read. On Saturday, August 23, 2014, we hosted our Summer
Leadership Academy, and used video, audio, and photo to share our stories. Join us in writing the next chapter of South LA’s story.
