Finance Director
SCOPE seeks an experienced Finance Director to lead our financial operations and ensure the organization’s financial health and stability. The Finance Director is responsible for developing and strengthening our financial infrastructure, supporting SCOPE’s Board of Directors in strategic financial planning projects such as investment and real estate, supervising the Staff Accountant and external finance consultants, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting and compliance functions. The Finance Director reports to the Executive Director and serves as an integral member of the leadership team.

SCOPE seeks an experienced full-time Grant Writer to work closely with the Development Manager to help lead the SCOPE seeks an experienced full-time Development Associate and Grant Writer to work closely with the Development Manager to help lead the organization’s fundraising efforts. The Development Associate and Grant Writer will support the research, writing, and submission of grant proposals, letters of Intent, grant reports, and other materials or correspondence needed to achieve the organization’s fundraising goals. The ideal candidate is an effective storyteller who can glean information from a wide range of sources to weave a compelling narrative and case for support, to increase resources and build power for grassroots organizations.
Health Justice Policy Associate
The Health Justice Policy Associate role offers an exciting opportunity to coordinate SCOPE’s campaign strategies on health justice policy issues facing low-income communities of color in Los Angeles. The position involves conducting policy research and analysis on issues related to oral health access and air quality improvement. Responsibilities also include leading and facilitating coalition efforts with community residents, partner organizations and policymakers to develop and advance policy recommendations. Additionally, the role entails crafting policy briefs, reports, and other materials to educate staff, policymakers, grassroots members, and the public on relevant issues. The ideal candidate is a responsible self-starter who can drive and manage campaigns forward with high-quality analysis that frames policy debates in a way that’s informed by community recommendations.
