Grassroots Computer Institute

The SCOPE Grassroots Computer Institute is a project designed to build the computer-based skills of our grassroots members. The goal of the program is to build the capacity of our membership in order to integrate them into our power building work and to provide them with the opportunity to learn essential skills for their everyday use.

The SCOPE Grassroots Program is also a way to show our appreciation for all the time and resources that our members invest in helping us build a more powerful social justice movement in Los Angeles. We understand that we could not do the work that we do without the help of our members. The Grassroots Training Program is completely FREE and exclusively for our active SCOPE members.

We have developed a computer training curriculum that makes it easy for anyone to learn basic computer skills in a comfortable and safe environment. The computer classes are offered in both English and Spanish and are conducted at the SCOPE Florence site. The program has something to offer to everyone, no matter your current computer skills and experience. Please contact us at (323) 789-7920 or click here to use our auto-enrollment form if you would like to enroll in the program in order to have access to the computer classes and computer lab sessions. We can also be contacted by email: gtp@scopela.org
